NELHA's
tenants are the keys to its success. Through the activities
of its tenants, NELHA has been able to foster new industry development
in West Hawaii with far-reaching economic benefits to the rest
of the state and beyond. NELHA seeks applicants for tenancy
that can make use of its unique complement of natural and logistical
resources to create jobs, products and services to stimulate
the local economy, improve the quality of life, and support
the growth of economic diversity in Hawaii. Applicants need
to have technical expertise, an appropriate knowledge base,
and adequate financial backing.

Tenants may be in any of the following categories. Click on
each category to view a list of our current tenants.
PRE-COMMERCIAL
TENANTS are those with projects that have commercial
potential but which still require a period of research and development
to solve production problems or optimize production methods.
COMMERCIAL
TENANTS are those with technical and production
expertise and a ready-to-launch business plan. They may be pre-commercial
research tenants who have completed the research and development
phase and are now ready to move on to commercialization. NELHA
seeks commercial tenants with realistic, forward-thinking business
plans for production of high-value products or services aimed
at local, statewide, and/or global markets.

RESEARCH
TENANTS are those with scientifically sound research
projects of their own design who can utilize the unique resources
at NELHA.
EDUCATIONAL
TENANTS are those with short or long term education
and/or training programs which can complement the activities
and industry development occurring at NELHA.
